We are so excited that you are interested in joining our bond! Tau Beta Sigma is national co-ed band sorority that serves the collegiate bands while promoting the pillars of service, music, leadership, and sisterhood. The Theta Lambda chapter is a co-ed chapter at Auburn University that serves alongside our brother organization, Kappa Kappa Psi.

In order to be initiated into Tau Beta Sigma, you have to participate in a membership candidacy period. We traditionally have membership classes in the fall and the spring. There is absolutely no hazing in Tau Beta Sigma. Our recruitment process begins at the beginning of each semester, and bids are distributed following our formal recruitment.

How do I join Tau Beta Sigma?

To join Tau Beta Sigma, you must attend our mandatory recruitment event and are encouraged to come to our other hang out recruitment events to get to know the sisters! Information about these recruitment events will be posted on this page as well as on our Instagram page. Attendance at Formal Rush is required to receive an invitation for membership to Tau Beta Sigma.

Why should I join Tau Beta Sigma?

Joining Tau Beta Sigma helps you become more involved with our band program by getting involved in the behind-the-scenes aspect of game day, concerts, and festivals.

Joining Tau Beta Sigma helps you develop your leadership skills with numerous opportunities to serve the band and assist in event planning.

Joining Tau Beta Sigma helps you make friends outside of your section in the band.

Joining Tau Beta Sigma is a lot of fun! There are tons of Tau Beta Sigma social events throughout the year, including holiday socials and formals.
