Theta Lambda emphasizes both our bond as a sisterhood and our connection to other chapters and music organizations. As a sisterhood, we meet for chapter each week. This time is not only meant for business; but for a celebration of accomplishments and to keep up to date with each other! All of these activities draw us closer together as a sisterhood. We regularly host sisterhood events for our members. Our chapter's favorite events are themed chapters for holidays! Additionally, we have our own, unique sisterhood ritual that we participate in each semester. This ritual is where membership candidates get their line names and begin bonding with current sisters.

 

Auburn University is fortunate enough to have chapters of all four major music organizations: Kappa Kappa Psi, Phi Mu Alpha, Sigma Alpha Iota, and Tau Beta Sigma. We regularly hold social events with these organizations, with the largest and most popular being our yearly music organization formal.

 

Additionally, in the fall semester our chapter and Auburn’s chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi traditionally work together to host a Halloween Social that is open to all members of the band. Usually, this social is held at our practice field with a "trunk or Treat" occurring before! This event is important to our campus because we accept canned goods as admissions to donate to our campus-wide "Beat Bama Food Drive." An event during this social is our annual costume contest. it is a hit amongst everyone that attended. This social is always a great way for people to socialize outside of their sections, and it helps promote friendships throughout our 380-person marching band.
